MIDNIGHT CST TUESDAY NIGHT...
* WHAT...Snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 2 to 5 inches.
The highest accumulations will be found southeast of Solon
Springs.
* WHERE...Douglas County.
* WHEN...From 3 AM Tuesday to midnight CST Tuesday night.
* IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous
conditions could impact the morning or evening commute.

...BRIEF PERIOD OF HEAVY SNOW THROUGH EARLY AFTERNOON...
At 155 PM a band of heavy snow stretched from near International
Falls to Virginia to French River to Maple, WI to Cable, WI. The
band of snow was moving north-northeast at 25 mph. Visibility as
low as one-tenth of a mile was reported in the heavy snow.
Through 4 pm the band of snow will impact the Minnesota
communities of International Falls, Virginia, Ely, Brimson, Two
Harbors, Silver Bay, and Isabella. In Wisconsin the snow will
impact Port Wing, Cornucopia, Bayfield, Iron River, Ashland, and
Mellen. Roadways impacted include US Highway 53 between
International Falls and Virginia, MN, MN Highway 1 between Cook
and Silver Bay, MN Highway 61 between Duluth and Silver Bay, US
Highway 2 between Superior and Ashland, WI, and WI Highway 13
between Superior and Ashland.
Visibility of less than one-quarter mile, particularly over
northeast Minnesota, and snow accumulation on roads are expected.
Be prepared for reduced visibility and snow covered and slippery
roads. Slow down and allow extra time when traveling.
